Günbike Erdemir was the first dweller to inhabit Atelier Grotto, from march until may 2021. Here she is portrayed with Tarçın, the saltdough sculpture of her childhood dachshund. Other saltdough sculptures that she made are already part of the wall mosaic.

Within the collaboration between Günbike Erdemir and Atelier Grotto, the space has transformed into a shellcave, strongly based on both 19th century landscape park grotto’s as well as outsider art. The space has been designed as a stage for the mosaic bowls and the framed drawings Günbike Erdemir made during her stay at the Grotto.

These four drawings and their frames are made by Günbike Erdemir, each depicting a scene from our film Caninae Genisis.

As an answer to Tarçın, my childhood dog Eira has been portrayed within the wall mosaic. Together they are the lead characters of the film Caninae Genisis.
